КОНТРОЛЬНАЯ РАБОТА № 2

1. Напишите а) глагольные формы простого будущего времени (личные местоимения с глаголами will и shall) и б) формы будущего времени (личные местоимения с глаголами will и shall) со значениями обещания, намерения и т.д. Вставьте глаголы will или shall:

1. Hе will be twelve years old on Friday. 2. Shall we go by car? 3. He thinks it will rain today. 4. David will soon be home. 5. If you wash the dishes, you will have a chocolate.


2. а) Начертите конверт и адресуйте его г-ну Джону Чапмэну. Вот его координаты: Mr. John Chapman lives at Lindfield in the county of Sussex. The number of his house is 4 and the road is called Walstead Road.

3. Употребите глаголы в будущем времени:

5. Перепишите следующие предложения, используя let вместо allow to или permit to:

^ THE MAN WHO TOOK NO NOTICE OF NOTICES

(Picture 1) What is the opposite of KEEP LEFT? KEEP RIGHT is the opposite of KEEP LEFT. In England the traffic keeps left. What does it do in your country? In Russia the traffic keeps right. Is the man obeying the notice? No, he doesn’t.




(Picture 2) What does NO SMOKING mean? It means that you are not allowed to smoke. What has the man in his mouth? The man has a cigarette in his mouth. What has he in his left hand? He has a match. Is he disobeying the notice? Yes, he does.




(Picture 3) What does SILENCE mean? It means not to shout. What is the adjective from silence? Silent. What is the man doing? He is shouting.




(Picture 4) Is this doorway low or high? It’s low. Is the man obeying or disobeying this notice? He’s obeying. Why? Because he doesn’t want to hurt his head.



Употребите слова notice и mind в качестве а) существительных, б) глаголов.

Напишите рассказ "The Man Who Took No Notice of Notice".


Once there lived a man who took no notice of notice. If he saw a notice to keep left, he would always keep right. If he saw a notice to keep silence, he would always shout. But when he saw a notice to mind one’s head, he took that notice because he didn’t want to hurt his head.

б) Напишите утвердительные, вопросительные и отрицательные формы глагола to drive в будущем совершенном времени.

^ I shall have driven home by 5 o’clock tomorrow. I shall not have driven home by 5 o’clock tomorrow. Shall I have driven home by 5 o’clock tomorrow?

в) Напишите утвердительные, вопросительные и отрицательные формы глагола to teach в прошедшем совершенном времени.

I had taught him to do this exercise by 5 o’clock yesterday. I hadn’t taught him to do this exercise by 5 o’clock yesterday. Had I taught him to do this exercise by 5 o’clock yesterday?


3. Перепишите следующий отрывок, заменяя, где это возможно, род существительных и местоимений на мужской, и употребите глаголы в прошедшем времени:

A small boy lived with his father and his uncle. Every day he went along the road to play with the son of the doctor. The two boys played many games. Sometimes they were great actors, sometimes famous heroes or great gentlemen. At other times they crossed the fields to the farm and watched the drakes and cocks and oxen eating their food.

Once upon a time there was a dog called Jock. He was black in colour, and there is no doubt that he was a handsome dog. He kept fit by taking lots of exercise, and sometimes he was out for the whole day trying to catch a rabbit. He never caught one, but he didn't mind, because there was always a good meal waiting at home. Jock liked all the other animals who lived near, but every day without fail he visited his best friend, Sally, Mr. Priestley's cat. He was very glad of Sally's company, and Sally enjoyed his visits too.

8. Придумайте предложения со следующими словами и словосочетаниями:

11. Посмотрите на картинки и ответьте на вопросы:

^ A BLACK EYE OR TWO (black eye – синяк)

1. What people do you see in picture 1? I see a man and a boy.

2. What relation do you think the man is to the boy? I think they are a father and a son.

3. Who has got a black eye? The son has. How do you think he got it? He fought with somebody.

4. What do you think he is saying to his father? He’s saying: “He’s beaten me!”

5. Why is he pointing with his finger? Because little children always point with their fingers.

6. Do you think it was a small boy or a big boy who had given him the black eye? (Picture 3 may help you to give the answer.) I think it was a big boy.

7. In picture 2, the father looks angry. Where do you think he is going? What for? He is going to the big boy to punish him.

8. He's come back now. What is he doing? He is sitting angrily in the arm-chair.

9. Who has a black eye now? The father has.

10. What do you think has happened? The big boy has beaten the father too.

А теперь перескажите или напишите рассказ "A Black Eye or Two".


One day the son came to his father crying. A big boy had beaten the little one. The father got angry and rushed to punish the big bad boy, but that boy beat the father too. And now both the son and the father had black eyes.
